15 Common mistakes

จุดประสงค์หลักในการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อสื่อสารให้ผู้ฟังเข้าใจ ความผิดพลาดที่เกิดขึ้นในการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษนั้นเป็นเรื่องที่ยอมรับกันได้ แต่เพื่อเป็นการฝึกฝนให้เกิดความชำนาญในการใช้ภาษา เมื่อเรารู้ว่าเราใช้ผิดเราควรจะนำมันกลับมาทบทวนและใช้ความระมัดระวังเพื่อไม่ใช้การใช้งานผิดแบบเดิมๆเกิดขึ้นจนกลายเป็นความเคยชิน List ข้างล่างเป็น Common mistake เบื้องต้นที่สังเกตุได้จากผู้ที่ใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเป็นภาษาที่สอง ไม่ว่าจะเป็นในการเรียนหรือการทำงาน จึงอยากให้เพื่อนๆ ทบทวนเพื่อให้มั่นใจว่าเราใช้งานคำเหล่านี้หรือประโยคเหล่านี้ครั้งต่อไปได้อย่างถูกต้อง

Wrong	I have visited Niagara Falls last weekend.
Right	I visited Niagara Falls last weekend.

Noted : last weekend เป็น Adverb of frequency บอก past tense ครับ ไม่ควรใช้ Past Perfect tense.

Wrong	She’s married with a dentist.
Right	She’s married to a dentist.

Noted : Married เป็นกริยาที่ใช้กับ preposition to.

Wrong	I must to call him immediately.
Right	I must call him immediately.

Noted : Must  เป็นกริยาช่วย กฏสำคัญของกริยาช่วยคือต้องตามด้วย V1 (call ไม่ใช่ to call).

Wrong	Every students like the teacher.
Right	Every student likes the teacher.

Noted : Every เป็นคำบ่งชี้นามเอกพจน์ครับดังนั้น Student จะไม่เติม s. 

Wrong	She can to drive.
Right	She can drive

Noted : Can  เป็นกริยาช่วย กฏสำคัญของกริยาช่วยคือต้องตามด้วย V1 (drive ไม่ใช่ to drive).

Wrong	Where I can find a bank?
Right	Where can I find a bank?

Noted : โครงสร้างประโยคคำถามของ question words (W) ทั้งหลายคือ Question word ตามด้วย กริยาช่วย (อันนี้ถ้างงๆ หรือไม่เข้าใจลองหาอ่านดูโพสต์ในบล็อกได้ หรือ ทิ้ง comment ไว้ได้ไม่อยากเขียนโพสต์นี้ยาวจนเกินไป)

Wrong	I live in United States.
Right	I live in the United States

Noted : นาม United States ต้องมี The นำหน้า.

Wrong	I’ve been here since three months.
Right	I’ve been here for three months.

Noted : For ใช้ในการบอกระยะเวลา เป็นวัน เดือน ปี ส่วนถ้านจะใช้ Since จะต้องบอกจุดเริ่มต้นของเวลา

Wrong	She doesn’t listen me.
Right	She doesn’t listen to me.

Noted : Listen ใช้กับ to.

Wrong	The police is coming.
Right	The police are coming.

Noted : Police เป็นนามพหุพจน์.

Wrong	You should not to smoke.
Right	You should not smoke.

Noted : Should  เป็นกริยาช่วย กฏสำคัญของกริยาช่วยคือต้องตามด้วย V1 (smoke ไม่ใช่ to smoke).

Wrong	There is seven girls in the class.
Right	There are seven girls in the class.

Noted : ประโยคนี้นามเป็นพหุพจน์ครับ (girl เติม s)

Wrong	I didn’t meet nobody.
Right	I didn’t meet anybody.

Noted : เราจะไม่ใช้ประโยคปฏิเสธกับคำในกลุ่มปฏิเสธ ในประโยคนี้คือ nobody.

Wrong	My flight departs in 5:00 am.
Right	My flight departs at 5:00 am.

Noted : Preposition at ใช้กับเวลาที่เฉพาะเจาะจงครับ.
